"Pretty Neat Studios recently printed my portfolio. I needed the prints really quickly and they were beyond efficient printing and posting the work to me. The quality was excellent, better than printing companies I have used previously, and the price was brilliant. I would highly recommend the services that Pretty Neat Studios provides and will definitely be using them again."

Frequently asked questions

We can print any size up to A2 (420 x 594mm).

We specialise in high quality, fine art printing. However, we are not a commercial printers, and so can’t produce large runs of low-cost prints for items such as business cards, fliers or greeting cards.

We stock professional quality matte, semi-gloss and gloss papers, all around 200gsm.

Yes, providing it is suitable for our printer, we are happy to use paper supplied by you. Please be aware though that when using non-professional quality papers, we can’t guarantee the quality of the print.

Whilst we use inks that have excellent colour stability and light fastness, our prints cannot be strictly classed as giclée.

Unfortunately not, although on small runs we are usually able to ‘duplex’ two prints together, giving the impression of a double sided print.

Although we stock small quantities of coloured paper for the production of our wedding stationery, we cannot guarantee the quality of print on coloured papers. In most cases we would recommend printing a background colour as part of the print rather than printing onto a pre-coloured material.

Unfortunately not. Printing with white or metallic ink requires a special type of printer and ink. Instead, we would suggest printing a coloured background onto white paper with the text left white.

Yes, we have a print profile set up for our most commonly used matte paper. Please get in touch if you would like us to supply you with it.

Virtually any common image format is fine, including .JPG, .TIF, .PDF, .AI, or .PSD. The most important thing is to make sure your files are of a high quality (at least 300dpi) and saved to at least the size you would like your prints to be, with the print size clearly labelled in the file name.

No, we don’t require prints to have crop marks or bleed as most prints are produced using our ‘borderless’ setting on the correct sized paper rather than being trimmed after printing.

Your files can be sent via email or WeTransfer to info@prettyneatstudios.co.uk.

We don’t have a minimum order quantity, but a set up fee of £5 is charged for every order, in addition to the cost of the print(s) and postage.

Whilst we specialise in smaller runs, we don’t have a set maximum order and our ability to take on larger jobs will depend on our workload at the time and the turnaround required.

Turnaround depends on the quantity of prints in the order, but for smaller runs is usually 2-5 days including delivery.

We are very happy to produce single, sample prints before a larger order, however they will be charged for at our standard rates.

As long as your prints haven’t been produced, you are welcome to amend or cancel your order. Any work already printed will need to be paid for in full.

A set up fee of £5 is charged for every print order in addition to the cost of each print, plus postage. Please see our printing price list for more information.

Please see our printing price list for our standard delivery charges.

Our standard payment terms are 14 days from receipt of the invoice via online bank transfer. If this is difficult for you please let us know, and we’ll be happy to arrange an alternative.

Our prints are always posted flat, within a plastic cello bag, sandwiched between two pieces of sturdy double corrugate card before wrapped in brown paper and topped off with a ‘do not bend’ label.

Yes, as long as it’s between our standard business hours (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm) we’re very happy for customers to collect. Please let us know when you place your order if that’s what you’d like to do.
